Who would ever believe this room is an actual classroom inside Irvington High. MTN partnered with Comcast for Cares Day 2019 and together we transformed an ordinary classroom into a simulated living area.
Our project provided the school a Life’s Skills Program for students 18-21 to be educated beyond high school to learn how to live and function on their own.
We are most proud of this area because for us it was a project but for them it’s a program. Students will no longer be bused outside their district. They have their own Life Skills Program now!!!!
Our efforts left them with internet and X1 video service, home automation including ring door bell, Yale Door Lock, Philips Hugh lighting, Amazon Echo, Desk Top PC, Lap Top and IPAd
We provided Stackable washer/dryer, electric stove refrigerator, cabinets, furniture, curtains and all the trimmings you see.
Thank you Edmond Wilson and Al Pearson for the excellent paint job!
Special thanks to all who participated yesterday and made this possible!
